This Los Rosales Boar Hunt Tapestry measures 73 inches high and 124 inches long. It was made about 30 years ago by "Taller Los Rosales" in Villaviciosa De Odon Spain, under the direction of Carmen Cortes. The tapestry is apliqué, and entirely sewn by hand. The materials are all vintage vestry fabrics except for the border, which is new from Italy. The boar is of fur, and could be boar or javelin as it has a coarse texture. Overall the workmanship is superb and of the highest quality. This is a very dramatic and fine piece of textile art!
